2013 Daytona 24 Hour Race Announced
Daytona Motorsport are delighted to announce that the Daytona 24 Hours 2013 will be held over Bank Holiday weekend of 4th and 5th May 2013.
Following last year′s sell-out success, Daytona are inviting entries to "the race of year". Teams of up to 12 drivers can either enter the Dmax or Prokart Classes. The Dmax teams will race in Daytona′s Two-Stroke 125cc karts and the Prokart Teams will race in Daytona′s Twin-Engined Four-Stroke karts.
Entry for Dmax costs: £2195 inc VAT and Prokart entry costs: £1695 inc VAT
Daytona are offering early booking discounts - with £100 off if you book and pay in full by 28/02/2013 or £200 off if you book and pay in full by 31/12/12 - the latter meaning you can enter for the same price as the 2012 race!
The race has moved from its traditional October date to a May date in response to requests from the teams that the race be run during a warmer time of the year. Commenting on the date change, Jim Graham, Daytona′s 24 Hours Event Director, said "Every time we have announced the 24 Hour Race, we have been asked to consider moving the event to earlier in the year and this year we are pleased to do so. I look forward to seeing a bumper full grid of teams enjoying what will hopefully be early Summer weather!"
