We are delighted to announce details of the 2016 Daytona Manchester DF1 Series.

Following on from the successes of last year, the 2016 Championship will continue with 2 weight classes providing exciting close races for all involved. The weight split will be determined at the first round, by way of the average weight.

The Format

As with 2015, we will continue with the hugely popular DF1 format, with F1 style qualifying followed by a 60 lap race:

Q1 – 8 minutes – all 14 drivers
Q2 – 5 minutes – top 10 drivers
Q3 – 5 minutes – top 6 drivers

Race – 60 laps

Calendar

This year we are moving to the final TUESDAY of the month, from March through till November. The calendar therefore is:

Round 1 – 29^th March                     Round 6 – 30^th August
Round 2 – 26^th April                       Round 7 – 27^th September
Round 3 – 31^st May                         Round 8 – 25^th October
Round 4 – 28^th June                       Round 9 – 29^th November
Round 5 – 26^th July

Out of the 9 points scoring rounds, a driver’s best 8 will count towards their final Championship Standing.

Race Entry

For the 2016 season, entry per round is £50 inc VAT, when booking over the phone. We will continue to offer a discount for booking online, so taking advantage of that will mean race entry is just £47.50 inc VAT. Loyalty points cannot be redeemed against race entry.
