Junior Karting

Daytona Manchester - Junior & Cadet Karting Events Karting is the best and safest way for young people to learn the disciplines of motorsport.

In fact you will find that most successful racing drivers today began their careers in this exciting field. Daytona Manchester offers a variety of track configurations that enable aspiring Junior Drivers to learn and progress in a safe yet challenging environment. Junior Drivers must be a minimum of 125cms tall (4’ 1”), aged 8 to 15 years, and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Novice Track – 200m

For children with no experience of karting – additional kart safety features.

Intermediate Track – 275m

For children with some experience that have a general understanding of flags and kart control.

Advanced Track – 450m

For confident experienced drivers that have a thorough understanding of flags and racing lines, who consistently set competitive lap times.

Arrive&Drive

20 minute practice sessions for juniors are typically scheduled after school, during school holidays and at weekends.

Junior Sunday Club

Young drivers can enjoy added benefits by joining the Sunday Club. Most Sunday mornings we offer extended Arrive&Drive sessions for Club Members, in which in addition to the extra time on track, our Race Team will advise and feedback to Junior Drivers, so enhancing their ability and confidence.

Race School

Designed to provide young drivers with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to progress safely into racing at an early age. Including classroom theory and on-track practice, Race School is comprised of 3 structured training modules covering all aspects of kart racing. Graduates of our Race School are eligible to enter our monthly InKart Championships and compete against other budding racing drivers. Junior Race School is scheduled during the school holidays and places are limited, so pre-booking is essential.

Bambino Karting

Bambino Karting is available at all of Daytona’s Race Venues for drivers aged 5-7 years. Following on from our experience with Junior and Cadet Karting, we have launched Bambino’s to provide younger drivers with the opportunity to experience the thrill of controlling a race kart – but in a safe, closely managed environment. Daytona Bambino’s drive state-of-the-art CRG Karts, with Honda 35cc four stroke engines. Whilst capable of speeds of up to 25 mph, the karts are strictly governed for younger drivers. All three venues have designed and built dedicated beginner circuits for the Bambino Experience. The circuits are surrounded with Europalight barriers that provide the maximum safety for drivers. Once drivers have proved their ability and kart control, they will be considered for Advanced sessions on the venues’ main Junior Circuits.

Bambino Modules

Individual Bambino Training Modules offer drivers the chance to complete a series of kart control and driving modules. Each module lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes a comprehensive safety briefing, specially developed crash helmets and race suits and supervision by experienced race marshals. Drivers will be invited to show their kart control via a series of handling modules.

Bambino Arrive&Drive

After successfully completing 3 training modules, Bambino Drivers can enjoy Arrive&Drive sessions on the venues’ more technical Junior Circuits, typically scheduled after school, during school holidays and at weekends.

Formula Bambino

For those Bambino Drivers that want the thrill of racing. Scheduled on the second Saturday of each month and pits drivers against the clock on the Junior circuit, with the fastest drivers appearing on our Leader-board.

Junior Parties

Once the children have registered and signed in, they are issued race suits before going through to the safety briefing - a thorough explanation of track safety and flags, and kart control. Each driver is then issued their helmet and race gloves and taken to the safety of the pit lane, where they receive individual briefing on the controls. After a final safety check in which the children must demonstrate their understanding and ability to operate the karts, it’s then out onto track to enjoy their Exclusive Track session. After their drive, Juniors then enjoy a celebratory meal complete with birthday cake on the mezzanine floor overlooking the track.
