Senior Open Racing

The range of open events at Daytona Manchester is designed to offer exciting competition in a safe, controlled environment.

We offer a number of different formats to suit all tastes, from full throttle sprint races heats tournaments lasting several hours. Whichever event you chose, these open events provide a competitive race for all ability levels.

Daytona Grand Prix Heats – Saturdays

Our Grand Prix Race is an individual Knockout Tournament with up to 50 competitors. After a practice, all drivers will compete in 4 qualifying heats, racing against all other drivers once to determine their starting position in the Semi-Final knockout round. The top 10 drivers will then go head to head in a Grand Final. With Live Leader Board updates from our state-of-the-art timing system, this format is a firm favourite.

Trophies are awarded to the top 3 drivers.

The Daytona Sprint - Friday Evenings & Weekends

A true sprint race for drivers of all abilities.

Drivers take to the circuit for a short practice session in which they must warm up, learn the circuit and set their best lap time to try and clinch pole position for the main race.

We then grid up and at the green light drivers race head to head for a full 20 minutes.

Trophies are awarded to the top 3 drivers.

Exciting New Format – The D-GP, Wednesday Evenings and Weekends

This multi race format is perfect for the less experienced racer - with several shorter races there are plenty of opportunities to move up the leader board.

Each driver will take to the circuit for a short practice to warm up, learn the circuit and get used to the 40mph petrol engine karts.

We then grid up for 3 individual qualifying heats with rotating starting positions – in race 1 you start from the front, race 2 in the middle and race 3 from the back…

This gives all competitors a real chance to end up on pole position for the Grand Final – all drivers qualify.

Trophies await the top 3 drivers.
