Is Daytona Sandown Park open all year?
The circuit is open seven days a week throughout the year, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
What should I wear?
Please wear training shoes or similar. We advise loose comfortable clothes that may be worn under the racesuit.
Do events run at night?
Yes, the circuits are floodlit
Is there a restaurant or bar?
No, but food can be pre-booked at Daytona Sandown Park. Drinks and snacks are available on site.
Do I need a driving licence?
No. You do not need a driving licence to race at Daytona. Every driver receives a full safety briefing and instruction on how to operate the karts.
Are there age restrictions?
Racers can start at 8 years (note height restrictions below). Adults and Juniors are not able to race together.
Can I drink alcohol before I drive?
No, any person under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances will not be permitted to drive.
Are spectators allowed?
Yes - although children must be supervised at all times. Please note that dogs are not permitted at the circuits at any time.
Are there minimum ages and heights for racing?
There are age restrictions - drivers must be 8 years and over to compete in Juniors, 14 and over to race in adult single-engined karts and 16 and over the race in twinengined
karts. (14 and 15 year old InKart Members who have been assessed may race in twin-engined prokarts).
Drivers must be 125cms tall (4 feet 1 inch) to drive a cadet and 142cms tall (4 feet 8 inches) to drive single or pro karts.
Minors attending the venue to race must either be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or alternatively have a Daytona parental consent form presigned by a parent authorising another adult to act in loco parentis.

Can Daytona provide racing for disabled drivers?
Yes - we offer passenger rides in our two-seater karts and can also can fit hand controls to race karts for drivers who are DVLA licenced to drive a hand-control car (prebooking is required).Please discuss your requirements with a Daytona representative.
Can I arrive late for a race event?
No - All events commence with a safety briefing and practice laps. If you miss the briefing or practice, you cannot race. We do not refund race fees for late arrivals.
Can I put up banners etc during my event?
Only with consent. Please see your booking representative.
Do Daytona supply safety gear?
Yes, we provide all safety equipment that is required for Hire Drivers. Owner drivers should supply their own safety equipment. All drivers should wear trainers or similar flat
soled shoes and comfortable clothing.
Can I wear my own safety equipment?
Drivers may supply their own safety equipment but it must be approved by the Race Director. Helmets and any other equipment must be to the appropriate standard. Full face
helmets with a visor and appropriate approvals (BS type A) must be used. Racesuits must cover the driver from neck to wrist to ankle and be of appropriate construction for racing.
Daytona does not accept any liability for any loss of such equipment or any injury caused where the driver's own safety equipment may have contributed to the injury.
Can I just turn up and race?
Drivers can turn up speculatively wishing to drive on the day but a place cannot be guaranteed. It is therefore advisable to book in advance.
Do the circuits operate in all conditions?
The circuit will operate in all conditions other than severe snow, fog and lightning.
Are car parking facilities available?
Yes.
What classes of karts are allowed at Daytona's circuit?
Daytona Sandown Park welcomes all four stroke karts.Please call the circuit if in doubt.
