Daytona Sandown Park : Junior & Cadet eventsKart racing is the best and safest way for young people to learn the disciplines of motor sport. In fact, you will find that most successful racing drivers today began their careers in this exciting field. Daytona Sandown Park offers our Indy circuit as a specially-designed ‘junior’ track that enables aspiring racers to learn the craft in a safe, yet challenging, environment.

You can choose between a number of race events for cadets and juniors* at Daytona Sandown Park: Cadet drivers must be at least 125cm tall (4 feet 1 inch). Junior drivers must be 142cm tall (4 feet 8 inches). Adults not permitted on track at the same time as cadets and juniors.

Arrive & Drive sessions provide valuable practice** for cadets and juniors after school, during school holidays and at weekends.

Junior Parties deliver a full safety briefing followed by classroom tuition before the racing begins, initially behind a pace kart for safety and confidence-building. The event provides certificates, decorations and party bags.



Daytona Sandown Park : Junior & Cadet eventsRace School provides young drivers with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to progress safely into racing at an early age. It involves five learning modules, including classroom theory and on-track practice, covering different aspects of kart racing. Graduates of our Race School can move on to join our InKart Club and participate in the challenging InKart Championships. Junior Race School is scheduled during the school holidays and places are limited, so pre-booking is essential.

JUNIOR RACE SCHOOL

Daytona Sandown Park gets young racers off on the right foot with a specially-developed Race School for the under 16s. Cadets and juniors are taken step by step through five modules that cover all aspects of racing to equip them with the right techniques and an understanding of the sport. Each module begins with classroom theory followed by 60 minutes track tuition. Junior Race School is conveniently scheduled during the school holidays so places are in demand making pre-booking essential. Once Junior Race School is completed they are then eligible to Join InKart 2. This is a Championship over 5 rounds which gets them used to a racing environment before being able to join the regular InKart Club.
