JUNIOR & CADET KARTING EVENTS

Daytona Sandown Park : Junior & Cadet eventsKart racing is the best and safest way for young people to learn the disciplines of motor sport. In fact, you will find that most successful racing drivers today began their careers in this exciting field. Daytona Sandown Park offers our Indy circuit as a specially-designed ‘junior’ track that enables aspiring racers to learn the craft in a safe, yet challenging, environment.

You can choose between a number of race events for cadets and juniors* at Daytona Sandown Park: Cadet drivers must be at least 125cm tall (4 feet 1 inch). Junior drivers must be 142cm tall (4 feet 8 inches). Adults not permitted on track at the same time as cadets and juniors.

** Subject to availability. Discounts available for members.

Arrive & Drive sessions provide valuable practice** for cadets and juniors after school, during school holidays and at weekends.

Junior Parties deliver a full safety briefing followed by classroom tuition before the racing begins, initially behind a pace kart for safety and confidence-building.

Dayton Bambino Karting

Bambino Karting is available at all of Daytona’s Race Venues for drivers aged 5-7 years. Following on from our experience with Junior and Cadet Karting, we have launched Bambino’s to provide younger drivers with the opportunity to experience the thrill of controlling a race kart – but in a safe, closely managed environment.
The Karts
Daytona Bambino’s drive state-of-the-art CRG Karts, with Honda 35cc four stroke engines. Whilst capable of speeds of up to 25 mph, the karts are strictly governed for younger drivers.
The Circuits
All three venues have designed and built dedicated beginner circuits for the Bambino Experience. The circuits are surrounded with Europalight barriers that provide the maximum safety for drivers. Once drivers have proved their ability and kart control, they will be considered for Advanced sessions on the venues’ main Cadet Circuits.
Availability
Bambino Karting will be available throughout school holidays, on most weekends and on selected weekdays during term time.
Arrive&Drive
Individual Bambino Arrive&Drive Sessions offer drivers the chance to complete a series of kart control and driving modules. Each module costs £20 and last approximately 30 minutes. This includes a comprehensive safety briefing, specially developed crash helmets and race suits and supervision by experienced race marshals. Drivers will be invited to show their kart control via a series of handling modules.
