Daytona have confirmed that they will be opening a brand new circuit in Tamworth this Spring. Located at the previous Tamworth Karting venue which closed in December 2013, Daytona have laid a new 1000 metre track and will be opening Daytona Tamworth to the public and to corporate event organisers this Easter.
The circuit will offer both Junior and Senior racing and Arrive&Drive with fleets of Dmax Two Stroke Karts, Sodi RT8 390cc karts and Biz Junior and Cadet karts. Whilst the circuit is open seven days a week, Daytona have confirmed that owner drivers will not be able to use the circuit due to planning restrictions.
Daytona Marketing Director Jim Graham confirmed that the circuit would play host to all of Daytona’s exciting range of events: “We are looking forward to seeing the first race here at Tamworth this Easter. With up to 30 karts racing on this brand new circuit, we are promised some superb racing. Whilst we would have loved to welcome owner drivers to the new Daytona Tamworth circuit, our planning permission restricts the karts we can run so we will be focussing all our efforts on providing exciting events in our four stroke and two stroke fleets.
