FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT – DAYTONA MANCHESTER

Hours: Part Time – MUST be able to work evenings and weekends

Brief

Daytona Manchester is currently looking for friendly, confident and reliable staff to join our fun and busy reception team. The successful applicant will be smart in appearance and possess a natural professional persona. Daytona is a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment that requires energetic and enthusiastic staff with the ability to thrive under pressure. Staff are required to be flexible with occasionally long weekend hours, willing to work hard and have effective communication skills both verbally and orally.

Experience within a customer facing role is advantageous, but is not essential for the ‘right candidate’ as full training will be provided on the job.

Duties of the role will include:

– Meeting and greeting customers upon arrival with high levels of customer service standards

– Signing in customers to their scheduled events, issuing race uniform and assisting with any other requirements

– Serving customers drinks and light snacks throughout events

– Responding to phone and email enquiries

– Booking customer events over the telephone or from customer walk in’s

– Maintaining the front of house presentation at all times to the Company’s standards

– Maintaining adequate stock levels at front of house

GO KART MECHANIC/ENGINEER

Hours: Part Time (approx 15hrs pw) – MUST be able to work weekends and evenings

Location: Daytona Manchester, M17 1NF

Brief

As a Go Kart Mechanic/Engineer, you will be required to carry out all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance of our kart fleet, ensuring that the Engineering workshop is tidy at all times and you work safely and to the Company’s standards. You must ensure all target expectations are met. You will report and fully communicate to the Head of Engineering at all times.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have mechanical experience within the automotive/ motorsport sectors.
  • Be flexible and able to work evenings & weekends in addition to weekdays.
  • Be able to follow instruction quickly and effectively.
  • Be highly motivated and work well in a team.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Ensure that the karts are maintained to the highest standards of safety.
  • Be able to work unassisted and ensure all targets are met without fail.
  • Have excellent problem solving abilities solving problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date on a daily basis ensuring it is filled out correctly.
  • Must have own tools, however the company may provide these if necessary.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – DAYTONA MANCHESTER

Location: Daytona Manchester, M17 1NF
Hours: Part Time – 14hrs per week

Brief

To carry out general venue maintenance and assist in making sure the site is in good condition at all times. You will assist the venue managers to oversee outside contractors working within the venue and assist in ensuring the venue and work carried out is in line with company policy/ guidelines.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To have awareness and assist with all matters relating to the maintenance of the venue
  • To actively deal with the decoration, electrical and general maintenance issues within the venue to the Company’s level of competence and work with venue management on all other works.
  • Assist the venue managers with ensuring works carried out meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health & safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Ensuring that all policies and procedures relating to health & safety in the workplace are adhered to at all times
  • Have full awareness of the Company’s customer care goals and to use their best endeavours to ensure they are implemented through their own actions and attitude
  • To be responsible for the operation of the stock system and keeping stock up to the levels required.
  • Completing all worksheets and company records in an accurate, up to date and timely manner as the work is completed.
  • To ensure that all paper work is processed in accordance with the correct procedures and completed accurately to ensure that due diligence practices are complied with.
  • To ensure that all equipment and machinery provided for your use is:

o   Used as per the manufacturer’s instructions;

o   Used in conjunction with the appropriate safety clothing/protection;

o   Stored in a safe place when not in use;

 

Skills and Essentials:

  • Wide range of experience coming from a single trade background with an understanding of other areas or a general building / maintenance background.
  • Basic “House” electrical experience, general decorating and problem solving.
  • Must have some level of certification or “time served” history for the key skills.
  • Must be able to understand the importance of correct maintenance and the increasing need to ensure this is correctly recorded.
  • A basic concept of stock and budget control will be required.
  • Ability to communicate and motivate via verbal and written media.

CATERING ASSISTANT – Daytona Manchester

Location: Daytona Manchester, M17 1NF
Hours: Part time/Flexible – MUST be able to work weekends and evenings. Please note, the majority of hours worked will be on weekends.

Brief
Daytona Manchester is currently looking for a talented and creative individual who is passionate about producing great culinary experiences and has an understanding of the latest food trends and healthy eating principles. You will be assisting our Catering Manager and working within a small team in a busy and friendly environment with cooking, preparation and serving as well as the normal day-to-day kitchen duties.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Assist in preparing, cooking, managing and operating the catering function in accordance with Company Policies and current legislation such as The Food Safety Acts and COSHH Regulations.
  • Responsible for assisting with the planning and development of meals through your culinary experience whilst maintaining high levels of customer service and food quality
  • Help monitor, control and record all stock levels held on site in a safe and hygienic manner
  • To be fully aware of business demands on the circuit and to ensure that all menus, food & drink as required, are provided to the highest standard, and in accordance with company guidelines.

Applicants will need to:

  • You will have an NVQ Level 1/2 in food preparation or equivalent.
  • Hold a minimum Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (Basic Food Hygiene)
  • Be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative
  • Food preparation and service – experience is essential.
  • Assist the Chef with daily and weekly stock take/rotation as well as opening/closing duties
  • Be presentable, professional and polite with customers and work colleagues at all times
  • Basic IT skills are required
