Group HR Assistant

HR Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional looking to utilise/improve their HR knowledge in a small and dynamic team. You will play a key role in shaping and developing the HR function as it grows and will be encouraged to use your initiative to take on tasks autonomously as well as work collaboratively as a team.

HR Assistant Responsibilities

As HR Assistant, some of your duties will include:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding – advertising roles, managing applications, shortlisting, arranging interviews and onboarding new employees.
  • Performance Management – managing reviews, appraisals & identifying training needs
  • Training Records – ensuring all training records are recorded and updated centrally
  • Holidays & Sickness – managing the attendance system and dealing with holiday requests and all absences.
  • General HR Admin – production of paperwork, letters, monitoring HR inbox, dealing with salary changes, job changes & general policy.
  • HR Project Work – undertaking various HR related projects
  • Providing guidance – on internal policies and procedures as required
  • Communications – Establishing clear communication channels and processes between HR, Finance and Operations teams.

HR Assistant Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in HR administration therefore will be comfortable working at a fast pace and dealing with a high volume of tasks. Discretion is essential so you will be used to dealing with sensitive and confidential information, managing every situation with accuracy and diplomacy.

As this is a role within a small HR team, there will be plenty of opportunities to demonstrate your current skills and experience as well as learn and develop new ones.

Group Sales Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will provide leadership and direction to the sales team to maximise growth and profit, whilst taking overall operational responsibility for selling on both Pro-active and Reactive for Corporate/Private/Open Events and to ensure the efficient and productive sale of Daytona products.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To take overall responsibility for ensuring that the sales targets are achieved.
  • To manage the sales team and to regulate sales procedures and ensure that the objectives are being met.
  • To ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the sales function.
  • Develop new sales procedures to increase and improve group performance to maximise overall profitability.
  • To manage and grow current turnover of £3.5m across multiple venues.
  • To plan, map, and manage the phone system.
  • To create a log of all phone / clubspeed issues and report progress to CEO on a weekly basis.
  • To effectively manage events scheduling for Group.
  • To take overall responsibility for the design and delivery all staff training to include induction, sales, systems, and compliance training.

As the Assistant Head of Engineering, you will be required to assist the Head of Engineering to manage all engineering functions for the department in line with company policy/ guidelines. To oversee the safe and smooth running of the workshop.  To deputise in the absence of the Head of Engineering

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST:

  • Have mechanical experience within the corporate / race kart or motorsport sectors.

Daytona Sandown Park are currently looking to enhance the Engineering Team and require a part-time, flexible mechanic for our 7-day operational business.

You will be required to carry out all aspects of the day to day maintenance of our kart fleet, ensuring the workshop is kept safe and tidy at all times. You must ensure all targets are met and that you are able to work to tight deadlines. The position will report directly to the Head of Engineering.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST:

Race Directors/Duty Managers

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Race Direct (manage, monitor and run) race events with the ability to deliver an entertaining and safe experience for our customers.
  • Act as a Duty Manager of the venue whilst managing the Track team, Front of House team and customers in a professional and effective manner whilst on duty.
  • Confidently conduct safety briefings to customers prior to race events.
  • Demonstrate strict but fair race management from Race Control (training will be given).
  • Liaise with department heads to ensure that events are executed at the highest level.
  • Be fully conversant with the company’s computer booking and timing systems.
  • Be fully conversant of the Track Training Manual, NKA (National Karting Association) guidelines and Employee Handbook.
  • Assist with the induction and training of newly appointed Track staff whilst maintaining continued development for the existing team in accordance with the Company and Statute requirements.
