Introducing the New DMAX Fleet at Daytona Sandown Park: Faster, Sharper, and Completely Unique
Daytona Motorsport is proud to unveil the latest evolution of high-performance karting: our brand-new fleet of 2-stroke DMAX karts, launching at Daytona Sandown Park on Saturday, June 21st.
Already considered Greater London’s premier outdoor karting venue, Daytona Sandown Park’s 900m championship-grade circuit - with its infamous 175m straight – become a new home to the newest and most powerful karts in the UK.
A UK Exclusive: 125cc 2-Stroke DMAX Karts
Our new DMAX fleet delivers a racing experience you simply can’t get anywhere else in the country. Daytona remains the only arrive & drive provider in the UK offering the thrill of racing in 125cc 2-stroke karts for the general public - machines traditionally reserved for competitive racing.
These karts have been built on Italian Birel ART chassis, engineered in Monza at one of the world's most advanced innovation centres. Every aspect of their construction is designed for racing precision, durability, and performance.
Performance Upgrades: More Power, More Speed
This new generation of DMAX comes with a serious boost in performance. Thanks to a custom exhaust upgrade and the latest Rotax 2-stroke engines, drivers will feel noticeably stronger acceleration and improved bottom and top-end performance. Expect lap times to drop by up to a second - and that’s just the beginning. As the engines are run in on our track, performance will continue to improve.
Chris Pike, Daytona’s lead kart engineer for over a decade, has overseen every detail of the build over the last five weeks:
“This is going to be an immense upgrade for drivers at Daytona Sandown Park. We've really fine-tuned these Rotax motors to suit the track. The Rotax 2-stroke is the best engine in go-karting, and we’ve modified the exhaust and wiring harness to get even more from it. I’m confident these are going to be our best DMAX karts yet.”
Precision Control & Braking
Handling is further enhanced with the latest in Birel ART steering wheel technology, giving drivers a firmer grip and greater control through corners and high-speed transitions.
Stopping power comes from the race-grade Kelgate GTK braking system. Featuring a 22mm vented disc, this system eliminates brake fade under heat and provides drivers with a responsive pedal feel lap after lap.
A Nod to Racing Heritage
In true Daytona style, performance doesn’t come at the cost of style. The fleet debuts with five distinct liveries, each inspired by iconic racing colour schemes from motorsport history. It’s a tribute to the legacy of speed - and a statement that this is no ordinary kart fleet.
Ready to Race: June 21st Onwards
From Saturday, June 21st, drivers aged 16+ can experience the all-new DMAX fleet at Daytona Sandown Park. Whether you're a returning regular or a first-time thrill-seeker, there’s never been a better time to take on London’s ultimate karting challenge.
