My sons first time was doing the race school at the start of the year, he’s just completed his first season of InKart championship. Daytona Tamworth is a great track the staff are amazing at what they do and my sons confidence has improved so much. The races are well managed and the place is well organised!

Everything about this track is fantastic – I went a couple of weeks ago first time and have been a couple of times since. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, everyone is smiling from the bar staff to the track staff and marshals. The karts are very well maintained, both DMAX and N35 all seem to be equal, the track itself is high speed but technical and really fun. This is now going to be my regular track and I’ve been telling everyone how good it is! (Oh and btw the loaded fries are actually AMAZING if you want a post race fuel up)

One of the best tracks. Staff are friendly and Marshalls are fair. The track is highly physical and difficult to master, but good fun regardless of experience. Karts are well maintained and we felt they were pretty even in performance. Only downside is that Daytona does tend to be a little more expensive than other tracks.

For our 13yr year old who is absolutely mad about Go Karting this has to be the best event/entertainment yet. Impressive and a good set up. Staff, food and all involved were fantastic. He will be back!

We had a fantastic time at Daytona Go Karting in Tamworth for Oli’s “Final Lap” before he ties the knot next month! The whole experience was brilliant from start to finish — great track, well-organised, and loads of fun. All four of us had an absolute blast. A perfect send-off for Oli and a day to remember. Highly recommended!

These guys are racers and it’s easy to tell. Probably the only company that has advised us to have smaller grids in the interest of kart parity rather than having as many drivers on as possible. The venue is really well laid out and has just about everything. Commentary during the races & post race driver interviews was a really nice touch. Looking forward to our return visit now.

Every time we visit, the experience gets simpler but is as rewarding for the little one.
There is no better way to teach kids to drive.
At the end of each event, you get the stats… if your child is not the best (like mine… ISN’T) you can always think of these in terms of last visit’s and work out improvements… a bit of a “race against yourself” kinda’ thing. That way, if they race against themselves, they can’t lose…

We had an absolutely amazing time at Daytona Tamworth! This was our first time racing in heavy rain, and wow, what an experience! The speed, the roar of the engines, the skidding across wet puddles… pure fun and adrenaline…

The safety briefing before the race was spot on: clear, concise, and covered all the essential do’s and don’ts…

Before starting, they checked our names and allocated karts. The track is well-organised, and the team kept everything running smoothly. At the end we got a surprise a mix of hail and heavy rain in the last two laps! We were soaked, sitting in puddles in the seats, but honestly, driving a water-filled track just made it even more exhilarating.

We have been to various tracks around the country and this was first rate! It was very busy with 30 racers on the track, however the organisation was great and seemed very professional. The racer really enjoyed driving the track and there was tables and chairs provided for spectators. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing day at Tamworth Daytona. The day had been arranged by Ed to make sure we had the best experience. The group had no experience so were in the N35 Sprint race (Don’t book the DMAX karts if you haven’t raced before). They came away from the race laughing and joking with each other. We had burger and chips there after the race which are to die for. Even my 91 year old mother in law had a wonderful time being a spectator and eating the amazing food. The staff were wonderful & couldn’t do enough for us. They even gave MIL some hand warmers to keep her warm, these small gestures made the day even more enjoyable. Great team & great customer services. Thanks Ed!

🇨🇦 Great battle today in a public Dmax Sprint at Daytona Tamworth 🇨🇦

Darren, Todd and Gav were seperated by only 4/10ths of a second in quali then fought a super close, fair but firm race, each driver led at least once during the race and a 1-2-3 finish for Maple Motorsport drivers.

7/10ths of a second between them at the chequered flag 🏁

🇨🇦 Great stuff lads, brilliant race to watch and fabulous comradery. This is what we do!! 🇨🇦

FAQs

How Do I get to Daytona Tamworth?

Address: Robey’s Lane, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B78 1AR

By car:
Located just off the M42 at Junction 10, with easy access from the M6, M1 and A5. Follow signs for Daytona Tamworth from the junction.

By train:
The nearest station is Tamworth. The circuit is approximately a 10-minute taxi ride from the station.

I'd like to drive in a DMAX, how experienced do I need to be?

DMAXs are for drivers who are experienced in karting. We recommend that you’ve driven at your chosen Daytona track in at least one 4-stroke Practice Session/ Open Race to get a feel for the track before driving a DMAX.  The starting point in a DMAX kart would be a practice session – 20 minutes of uncompetitive track time to understand how it handles.

I've never gone karting before, where should I start?

We recommend starting with practice sessions – 20 minutes of track time in a non-competitive format. For adults, this should be in our 4-stroke SODI or N35-ST karts, not our DMAXs. For kids aged 8-13, a Junior Practice is a great starting point. Race School is recommended for young people who want to progress in the sport and race competitively on the adult circuit.

Can I bring my own kart?

We do not run any owner-driver events at Daytona. If you wanted to bring your own kart and drive it round one of our tracks you would have to hire the track exclusively to do so.

Can I just turn up and race?

No – all sessions must be booked in advance. You can book online or call us on 033 033 278 70 when our sales office is open.

Are there car-parking facilities?

All of our circuits are equipped with large, free carparks. Please note, Daytona are not responsible for any vehicle in our carparks. Please do not leave valuables unattended in your vehicles.

Is there a restaurant or bar?

All Daytona venues have restaurants on-site, serving hot food and can cater for large parties. All venues also serve barista coffee, cold drinks, snacks and slushies. We do not have a bar or allow alcohol to be consumed on site.

What should I wear go-karting?

We can provide gloves, a race suit, helmet and a wet suit if required. Please wear trainers or similar – when the track is wet they might get muddy so we advise not wearing new shoes. You should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the season – our race suits are insulating so you won’t need a jacket in the winter, nor a jumper in the summer. You must not wear a hoodie, scarf, or any loose headwear, as this is a safety hazard. You’ll also be required to wear a balaclava if you’re borrowing one of our helmets. These can be purchased from reception.

Are there any age or height restrictions at Daytona?

  • Bambino drivers must be at least 6 years old and 107cm tall (3 ft 5 inches).
  • Cadets/ Juniors must be at least 8 years old and 125cm tall (4 ft 1 inch).
  • To race in a SODI, you must be at least 14 years old* and 142cm tall (4 ft 8 inches)
  • To race in a DMAX, you must be at least 16 years old** and 142cm tall, and have sufficient karting experience to do so.

Children attending the venue must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult at all times.

*Experienced 12-13 year olds can undertake an assessment to drive in SODI karts, as long as they’re tall enough.
**Experienced 14-15 year olds can undertake an assessment to drive in DMAX karts.
