Jamie Chadwick Series - Round Six
Daytona Milton Keynes
Juniors & Cadets
It was a closely contested qualifying session, with Junior Milena Clark snatching pole by just a few hundredths of a second from Lily Catignon. Despite racing in the Cadet class, Catignon's lap saw her start second overall, and first in class. Just behind, Jess Kirby (Cadets) claimed the third fastest lap, followed by Juniors Daisy Bradstock and Cora Moore in fourth and fifth.
In the Junior race, it was all about Clark, who delivered a commanding performance to take the win by nearly six seconds. Behind her, Bradstock fought hard to defend second on the final lap, narrowly fending off Sarah Telford, who charged through the field and set the fastest lap on her way to third place.
In the Cadets, the battle between Catignon and Kirby was intense throughout. Ultimately, it was Catignon who edged clear in the closing stages, building a decisive 2.4-second gap to take the win. Kirby secured second, while Alicia Waterhouse held off a late push from Mia Gualtieri to clinch third by just a few tenths.
SODI
In the SODI Lightweights, Zoe Cattet continued her streak with another pole position, three-tenths clear of Chloe Smith, with Nicole Robinson just behind in third.
Over in the Inters, Chloe McNally put on a qualifying masterclass, taking pole by a dominant 1.5 seconds over Victoria-Cleopatra Lazarev, with Reyhaneh Abdolrazagh rounding out the top three.
In Race One, Cattet converted pole into a comfortable victory, crossing the line six seconds clear of Robinson, who just managed to hold onto second after sustained pressure from Katherine Hardwick, who settled for third. Smith followed closely in fourth.
McNally was equally unstoppable in the Inters, winning by a massive 24 seconds. Lena Reading climbed up the order to finish second, with Beate Grinspone completing the podium.
Race Two played out much the same way. Cattet once again dominated, securing victory and maximum points after setting the fastest lap. She spent the entirety of the day racing alone, as she pulled away from the start line and never looked back. Hardwick made an early move to take second position and held firm to finish comfortably ahead of Smith, who finished third.
McNally made it a clean sweep in the Inters, winning both races and topping the round’s leaderboard. Abdolrazagh recovered well from her earlier misfortune to grab second, with Grinspone repeating her Race One result in third.
DMAX
In qualifying, Julia Stankowiak laid down a marker in the DMAX Lightweights, securing pole by five tenths over rival Hope Wood. Chloe McNally qualified third, seven tenths further back.
In Race One, Stankowiak was untouchable, pulling clear to win by nine seconds over Wood. McNally once again finished third, but only just, following a tight battle with Sophie Carter.
Stankowiak continued her momentum in Race Two, taking back-to-back wins and maximum points, narrowing the championship gap to Wood, who again finished second. McNally completed another solid drive to take third once more.
In the Inters category, it was all about Frankie Yates, who dominated qualifying and both races to take maximum points from the round. Sarah Gualtieri consistently brought home second place to cap off a strong performance.
