InKart Season Two 2025 – The Story of the Season

The Story Behind the Standings

Across the course of the InKart season, we have seen championships shaped not by single moments, but by persistence, patience, and the relentless pursuit of improvement. Round after round, drivers across all classes have delivered racing that reflects the very best of grassroots motorsport and it has been deeply rewarding, not only to watch but also to have been a part of.

InKart continues to serve as both an entry point and a proving ground. For some, it represents the first step on a longer racing journey; for others, it is the place to test themselves week in, week out against familiar rivals and new challengers alike. Regardless of destination, the standard of racing throughout the season has been a testament to the commitment and passion of the drivers who line up each round.

What has stood out most this year is the strength of the community. From Cadets finding their feet, to Juniors refining their race craft, the paddock has been defined by shared learning and mutual respect. Experience has been passed down, confidence has been built, and the margins between success and disappointment have grown ever finer. That progress belongs to the drivers, their families, and the wider InKart community. Thank you for another memorable season. As we head into the final round and look ahead to what comes next, we are proud to continue hosting a championship that rewards a genuine love of racing.

Daytona Sandown Park

Three drivers have consistently set the pace in the Daytona Sandown Park Cadet class this season, with the podium regularly rotating between them and only occasional interruptions to the established order. Hadi Chaudry, Lucio Vaval, and Ethan Davies have emerged as the class frontrunners, each shaping the championship in their own way. Chaudry asserted himself early with a perfect 61-point score in Round One, establishing an immediate lead in the standings. A mid-season dip saw him fall away from the sharp end, but strong returns in Rounds Six and Seven have restored him to the top of the championship order. Vaval currently sits second overall, having claimed two round victories, while Desmond Bryan and Thomas Volante remain in close pursuit despite sitting outside the leading trio, each having taken impressive wins in Rounds Four and Five respectively. While Chaudry leads heading into the finale, the margins are slim. The top five drivers are separated by just 35 points, and with drop rounds still to be applied, the title remains wide open. Frank Mehlberg could yet re-enter the championship picture, while any stumble from the current leaders may prove decisive. Ultimately, this is a championship that will be settled only when the final chequered flag falls.

By contrast, the Junior category has been defined by variety and volatility at the front. Daniel Marytyak leads the standings heading into the final round, but without the cushion required to consider the title secure. His primary rival, Daniel Harman, remains a constant threat, the pair having traded positions relentlessly throughout the season. The rivalry has been central to the championship narrative, with Marytyak and Harman sharing all round victories between them, save for a standout performance from Milan Pilay in Round Seven, where he delivered a flawless 61-point score. Behind them, Sarah Telford and George Pitch remain well placed to challenge for the remaining podium positions, adding further intrigue to an already compelling finale. While patterns have emerged over the course of the season, the final standings are anything but settled. With pressure mounting and margins fine, the Inkart championship promises a decisive and unpredictable conclusion.

Daytona Milton Keynes

Leo Sibthrope holds a slender advantage in the Cadet class of the Daytona Milton Keynes InKart series, but with just 20-points separating the top five drivers, the championship appears finely poised heading into the Final Round. Charlie Marden, Jack Dowding, Ryan Cafferky, and Teddy Mullan all remain firmly in the leading positions, keeping pressure on the championship leader as the season reaches its conclusion. However, when championship regulations are taken into account, one name cannot be overlooked. Gillen Townshend currently sits seventh in the standings, having missed two rounds, coincidentally matching the number of drop rounds available. Of the rounds he has contested, all but one have resulted in victories, with his last three appearances producing perfect 61-point scores. If Townshend can replicate that form in the finale, he stands as a formidable favourite, his return placing significant pressure on those ahead once drop rounds are applied.

At first glance, the Junior class tells a similar story, with race victories spread across several leading contenders. However, consistent scoring throughout the field has reduced the impact of drop rounds on the overall standings. Rayann Malik burst onto the scene with a commanding victory in the opening round, but has since been unable to finish higher than third. Despite this, he remains firmly within title contention. Leading the standings heading into the Final Round is Arel Kesimgil, whose 393-point total places him just five points clear of Jacob Noble in second, with Nathaniel Garai a further eight points adrift. These drivers have dominated the top steps of the podium throughout the season, establishing themselves as the principal title contenders. While championship honours appear set to be decided among this leading group, the wider field has shown clear progression in both race craft and confidence, suggesting that new challengers may emerge in seasons to come.

Daytona Tamworth

Freya Lally has been a commanding presence in the Cadet field at Daytona Tamworth, confidently leading the championship throughout the season. With victories in all but two rounds, and three perfect 61-point scores among them, Lally has all but secured her InKart title. Her only setbacks came in select rounds: a barnstorming Round Five drive from Hugo Macmillan, and a strong Round Two performance from Jess Kirby, last season’s InKart runner-up. Kirby herself has enjoyed a highly impressive campaign, securing podium finishes in every race she has contested. Missed rounds have limited her championship position, but her pace and consistency remain unquestionable. With Lally effectively crowned champion, attention now turns to the battle for the remaining podium positions. Jack Mills, Logan Staunton, and Christiano Guedes currently appear best placed, though with drop rounds still to be applied and the inherent unpredictability of the final round, the order remains far from settled. Macmillan and Rhys Onions sit just outside the immediate podium picture, but both possess the talent to disrupt the standings and step into the spotlight when it matters most.

A similar narrative has unfolded in the Junior class, where one driver has consistently stood above the rest. Zachary Smith leads the standings with victories in every round bar the penultimate of the season, four of those wins achieved with perfect scores, an exceptional record against a highly competitive field. The only driver to have dethroned Smith this year is Jayden Steatham, who currently sits fourth in the standings. Steatham’s season has been defined by regular podium finishes, and once drop rounds are applied, he remains firmly in contention for a championship podium. Also in the fight for the remaining top-three positions are Tyler Shanks and Reuben Potter, with the quartet accounting for the vast majority of podium appearances this season. The championship will ultimately be decided in the final round, where pressure and opportunity collide. Further down the order, drivers such as Harry Kennedy and Rocco Jackson have also featured on the podium and are likely to play their part in the finale. While their title ambitions may be over, they will undoubtedly add to the spectacle, reinforcing the depth and quality of the Junior field at Daytona Tamworth.
