November is always an exciting time for Daytona’s circuits as we host the regional finals of the Daytona Business Team Challenge and find out who works for the fastest company in the UK.
Following a record entry level this year, with over 500 companies competing in the BTC, each of our venues hosted their finals last week with the top qualifying teams racing over an action packed hour to win the 2017 Regional Championship – and the all important prize of an exclusive event for up to 20 people this Christmas!
We watched some excellent close racing at every track this year and it all came down to the last lap of the finals at two of our venues – the closest finish being the two teams who qualified from Sussex Caravans at Daytona Sandown Park as they took the chequered flag split by just 21 thousandths of a second, whilst at Milton Keynes, the team from Garden Pride won by 20 seconds from SST Technology.
The Tamworth Final saw a bigger gap with Premier Handling won by a whole lap from Ricardo MTC, whereas EBA Accountants were the class of the field at Daytona Manchester, winning by two whole laps from Techniheats. Each of the winners of the Regional Finals will be hosting their own private race event at Daytona this Christmas to celebrate their achievement.
