Daytona have invested in a brand new fleet of SODI SR5 4-stroke go-karts, which are available to race at Daytona Milton Keynes for ages fourteen and over from Monday 29th May.
The SODIs have a Honda GX270 RDG4 4-stroke engine and a top speed of 50mph, with 9 brake horse power and 5,600 revs per minute.
This fleet upgrade will enable greater kart consistency and guarantee speed-fuelled adrenaline around Daytona’s 1,200 metre track.
These racing karts feature an F1 style steering wheel, wet clutch, full LED light package including brake lights, adjustable seat and pedals, SODI impact absorption system, belt transmission, and electric start.
Kevin Warner regularly drives SODI SR5s at Daytona Sandown Park, and provided some feedback on his experience:
“The new SR5 karts at Daytona are a great improvement, they are much easier to drive with light steering, the engine is smoother which helps too, the chassis are comfortable and easily adjustable for all sizes.”
“My son Jamie raced these karts at Sandown in the Thursday Night League and really enjoys them. I have found that the racing is closer and more fun with less spins through the grid.”
“This is a great product run by a fantastic company with very helpful and attentive staff. “
There are 35 new karts at Milton Keynes, with seven striking liveries inspired by iconic Formula One cars past and present.
These karts are available to race at Milton Keynes from Monday 29th May. They will feature for the first time on the grid at the Daytona 24 Hours.
