FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER – DAYTONA MILTON KEYNES

Location: Daytona Milton Keynes, MK13 8NP

Hours: Full time (40hrs pw) – Applicants must be able to work evenings & weekends

Brief

Milton Keynes is currently looking for a professional, confident and reliable Front of House Manager to join our busy Front of House team. Daytona is a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment that requires energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious individuals with the ability to thrive under pressure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Reception and Front of House areas.
  • To prepare and manage reception staff and to ensure correct staffing levels at all times
  • Provide training and induction to all new and existing reception staff whilst developing training to suit the needs of the business.
  • To ensure all reception staff absences, sickness and annual leave is monitored, recorded and reported to the HR department.
  • To set targets and monitor active selling within the Front of House team in line with company targets.
  • To oversee the presentation of facilities to an exceptionally high standard at all times.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be from a customer focused background (hospitality preferred) with proven ability to drive standards forward whilst ensuring the management and development of the team through training and coaching.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a positive, friendly and professional manner and culture at all times.
  • Be able to develop and deliver customer service and sales training to Front of House staff
  • Be required to devise and implement procedures and manage & monitor sales targets for the Front of House team
  • Be able to recruit, train, manage and monitor the Front of House team whilst ensuring on-going succession planning.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours for a 7 day operational business
  • Have sound knowledge of Word and Excel

GENERAL MANAGER – DAYTONA MILTON KEYNES

We are looking to recruit a General Manager for our award-winning flagship venue at Milton Keynes who will be responsible for the smooth and safe day-to-day running of the venue.

Essential Skills & Experience

You will need strong organisational, motivational and communication skills at all levels. You must be able to manage, engage, train, incentivise and supervise staff whilst ensuring adequate staffing levels. Ensuring that the entire team pulls together to deliver Daytona’s renowned customer service and safety level is a key element of the role. Adept financial knowledge is essential. You must maintain and develop exceptional levels of service and full responsibility for the health and safety of your staff and customers.

You must be commercially driven with a passion and flair for marketing, you will have your finger on the pulse when it comes to managing and running events.

You will be a high calibre individual with confident and charismatic communication skills with a flexible, can do attitude and the ability to meet tight deadlines. You will be expected to continually drive, influence and improve performance across the venue.

You will be a confident communicator at all levels with a sparkling personality and a natural ability in public speaking and presentation skills. You will have good working knowledge of Word & Excel and have the ability to quickly learn how to use our bespoke booking and venue management systems. Full product and service training will be given. This position requires complete flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

FRONT OF HOUSE & SALES ASSISTANT – DAYTONA MILTON KEYNES

Location: Daytona Milton Keynes, MK13 8NP

Hours: Full time/Part time/ Flexible positions available – Applicants must be able to work evenings & weekends

Hourly rate: £competitive plus uncapped sales commission on merchandise.

Daytona is a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment that requires energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious individuals with the ability to thrive under pressure. The successful applicant will be smart in appearance and possess a naturally professional personality.

Staff are required to be flexible with occasionally long weekend hours.  You are required to have effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience within a customer facing role is advantageous, but is not essential for the ‘right candidate’ as full training on products and services will be provided.

Duties of the role include:

  • Meet & greet customers promptly upon arrival.
  • Provide friendly and first class customer service
  • Sign in drivers to their scheduled events, issuing race uniform and assisting with any other requirements
  • Manage phone, email and face-to-face enquiries effectively
  • Upsell and cross-sell events and merchandise to ensure that sales and individual targets are met
  • Ensure all Front of House and customer facing areas are maintained and well presented at all times
  • Adequate stock levels must be maintained at Front of House including assisting with stock take/rotation
  • Ensure all race suits are maintained and ready for race events
  • Provide administrative support to the venue management team

TRACK MARSHAL – DAYTONA MILTON KEYNES

Hours: Part-time/Flexible – MUST be available evenings & weekends

Location: Daytona Milton Keynes, MK13 8NP

Daytona Milton Keynes is currently looking for friendly, confident and reliable staff to join our fast paced Track team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the race circuit whilst events are running
  • Issuing the correct flags to drivers whilst they are racing on circuit
  • Relaying information carefully and correctly back to the Race Director
  • Keeping up track appearance to the company’s high standards

Skills and Essentials:

  • Be presentable, professional, reliable & confident liaising with customers

Go Kart Mechanic/Engineer – Daytona Milton Keynes

Location: Daytona Milton Keynes, MK13 8NP

Hours: Full Time & Part time positions – MUST be able to work evenings & weekends

As a Go Kart Engineer/Mechanic you will be required to carry out all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance of our kart fleet, ensuring that the Engineering workshop is tidy at all times and you work safely and to the Company’s standards. You must ensure all target expectations are met. You will report and fully communicate to the Head of Engineering at all times.

The successful candidate must :
• Have mechanical experience within the automotive / motorsport sectors.
• Be flexible and able to work evenings & weekends in addition to weekdays.
• Be able to follow instruction quickly and effectively.
• Be highly motivated and work well in a team.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Ensure that the karts are maintained to the highest standards of safety.
• Be able to work unassisted and ensure all targets are met without fail.
• Have excellent problem solving abilities solving problems quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date on a daily basis ensuring it is filled out correctly.

You should have your own tools, however the company may provide these if necessary
