Practice sessions are ideal for beginners to try kart racing and for serious competitors to hone their skills.
Practice gives the driver the opportunity to try different lines and braking points in order to become quicker. Daytona provide safety equipment, a comprehensive driver briefing and all laps are timed and the data emailed to drivers at the end of the session. Subject to availability, Daytona Sandown Park offers Practice sessions on the GP Circuit for drivers aged 14+ in our SODI Karts and for experienced drivers aged 16+ in our DMAX karts. Drivers aged 8-15 years may drive in Junior Practice on the 450m Indy Circuit, and Bambino Graduates aged 6-7 years drive on the Club Circuit. Senior Practice Drivers aged 14 and over can drive our Sodi RT8 390cc Karts (except Daytona Sandown Park which is 16+ years old). Experienced drivers aged 16 or over can drive our high-performance DMAX 125cc two-stroke karts. We recommend that all drivers start with our Sodi karts to gain experience of both the karts and the circuit before graduating to the DMAX karts. We schedule Practice most weekends and at selected other times subject to availability, private race bookings permitting. Please visit our online booking pages to check availability and book.
