Driver of the Month August 2025 – Sienna Greene

The Hunter

Sienna Greene, Daytona's Driver of the Month for August 2025

When you think of motorsport, it’s easy to idolise the individual in the driving seat, and for good reason. Drivers put themselves at the most risk, but there are people working just as hard outside of the spotlight. So, when we announce Sienna Greene as our Driver of the Month, it feels only right to give her dad, Andrew, a mention too.

Sienna is a force majeure in the world of karting – often underestimated, yet already proving herself with one of the most impressive work ethics we’ve seen in a long time.

Her karting career began in much the same way it has gone from strength to strength – thanks to her dad. Andrew was, understandably, tired of princess parties and wanted to give his daughter an experience to remember on her birthday. What started as a casual trip to a local indoor karting track quickly turned into a passion that overtook all others.

Her talent was spotted early. As her laps mounted, her times dropped, and she began climbing the leaderboards. Soon she was running within milliseconds of the track record at TeamSport Mitcham, and it was clear she was ready for the next step: outdoor karting.

Sienna’s first big opportunity came when she and her family came across the Idris Elba Speed Academy, run in partnership with Rob Smedley. Kids from across the country were invited to try out – more than 1,000 turned up over the weekend. Out of that huge field, only three made it through in her division. Sienna was one of them.

Since then, she’s sampled machinery from TKM to ROTAX, having fallen in love with speed and perfecting her race craft. As she now sets her sights on National and International karting leagues with the hope to move into a sponsored F4 seat. They note Daytona as their only real opportunity to get quality practice. Our DMAX fleet, the only of it's quality in the UK, allows them to race with the speed and precision required to build real skill and dexterity behind the wheel. Sienna, by now a tenacious and commendable kart racer in her own right is regularly seen at Daytona Sandown Park, perfecting her breaking and mastering the art of speed in her constant search for improvement.

She and Andrew are well known to Daytona staff, who all commend them more highly that we can put into words in this article. Commenting on racing at Daytona:

“The community is fantastic,” Andrew says. “The staff and the other drivers are a great bunch of people.”

However, the real standout moment which has earned Sienna the title of Driver of the Month for August is from a once in a lifetime opportunity where she proved her mettle against the best. An event we’re sure you will have heard about already, with the accompanying video clocking up over four million views at the time of writing, just five days after it was published.

This came in the form of an unexpected Sprint Race one night at Daytona Sandown Park. Sienna and Andrew, in preparation for a championship round that weekend, attended an early evening Practice Race. After clocking a respectable P2 against another regular, they felt they needed another session before bringing their evening of practice to a close.

The buzz in the driver enclosure raised their suspicions but they were otherwise none the wiser to what was about to unfold.

With Quadrant team members disguised in Daytona uniforms, Izzy Hammond playing the role of a motorsport celebrity filming an advert at Daytona and OAP Gerland Stevens attending a Sprint Race in between bingo rounds - the scene was set.

Stevens of course, the nom de plume of Haas Formula One driver, Ollie Bearman. There in prosthetic makeup for Quadrants latest video, where he took on a grid of Daytona regulars aiming to qualify in last place and go from last to first over the course of a 20-minute Sprint Race.

We won’t talk you through the race, you’ve probably already seen it along with the millions of others who witnessed Sienna do battle with the F1 star. However, one thing we can't avoid touching upon was Bearman coming alongside Greene in the final lap, noting afterwards that he was “giving it all to catch her” elaborating that she was a “really strong driver”.

After just pulling through on the final lap to take P1, Bearman won the race, with Greene clocking in a new PB lap time just 0.044 seconds behind him.

Her Dad, Andrew insists that had she got into P1 on lap three she would have scored a stronger lap time, “she would have been gone”. This is testament to Greene’s racing style, a hunter. Andrew, who will know better than anybody, comments that when Sienna is chasing someone down, she is faster. Elaborating that “if she has enough time, she will catch anyone”. Pessimists may discredit this comment coming from a proud parent, however, after watching Greene go toe to toe with an F1 driver, we’re inclined to agree with him.

Sienna comments on the experience:

“It gave a good mental boost as it's proven to [her that she] can compete with the best.”

We went onto discuss the motorsport industry, it's challenges and how Sienna plans to navigate them towards a future working with the machines she has dedicated the past few years mastering.

She highlights that grassroots karting is still very male-dominated, and the assumption is often that she’s just there to make up numbers. But Sienna quickly shatters that perception. Her speed, determination, and infectious personality always leave an impression - regardless of anything, her lap times speak for themselves.

When asked about her favourite driver, there’s no hesitation: Lewis Hamilton. “His story and mentality are inspiring,” she says. If she could race anyone tomorrow? “Lewis or Lando Norris – Lewis especially, because I could learn so much from him.”

After such a big validation of talent and skill, hard earned we looked to the future, asking the pair what Sienna had planned for the next few years:

“I would say for the future I definitely want to continue my career in Motorsport whether that’s karting or going into single seaters. I also am aiming to work towards being a Motorsport Engineer and whether that would be full time or doing it on the side of racing, but yes CAD really does interest me, I love the creativity aspect of being able to make anything you can think off and make it somewhat reality and designing cars I believe I would very much take too!”

And what advice would she give to young drivers starting out?
“Be as confident as possible. I was held back because I wasn’t confident, and this sport is so mentality-based. If you don’t believe in yourself, you won’t be as quick or as assertive. Confidence takes you further than just looking at the racing lines. Believe in yourself – you might surprise yourself.”

From a birthday surprise to chasing down future F1 stars, Sienna Greene’s story is only just beginning. With her families support, her unshakable determination, and the right opportunities, she’s proving that she doesn’t just belong in motorsport – she’s here to hunt down the next driver in front of her, wherever that may take her.
