New Beginnings
Kuba Wozniak, Daytona's Driver of the Month for September 2025
Kuba Wozniak is a force to be reckoned with. From motorsport beginnings in Poland, where a family day out surfaced a talent beyond his years, to world-record professional sim racing and monumental on track performances putting him shoulder to shoulder with Daytona’s best ever drivers. Now stood on the precipice of the next step in his motorsport journey, after winning the Endurance Inters category in the DMAX National Championships, we caught up with Kuba to discuss his career so far, his training methods and his hopes for the future.
The journey began at age six, where during a trip to Gdańsk in Poland visiting family, his uncle took him to a local karting track. Too small to even fit in the kart, the staff placed a pillow behind his back so he could reach the pedals. With no prior experience, on a grid of mixed abilities and karts of varying classes, he won.
It became clear that he had raw talent. Upon returning home he’d got the bug and immediately came to Daytona. Wozniak joined the Daytona Milton Keynes Bambino driving programmes and the next few years saw him amass track records on all our circuits as he rose through the ranks. Entering nearly every open session and championship offering we had available. Going onto win InKart, Junior Sprint League, Thursday Night League and SuperChamps to stepping into the DMAX racing karts a year early after special permission was granted from GM, Shane.
Not to forget, securing a Champion of Champions title at just 13.
Wozniak is competitive to say the least, a good head on his shoulders and the confidence of a driver who knows his ability – confident but not cocky. He typifies his racing style as “aggressive… to an extent. Always trying to keep it clean with no bumping”. He notes, he always wants to be the last one to brake, holding confidence in his machinery to outdrive his opponent. Pushed to align his style with a current driver, Wozniak noted the similarities of Verstappen. Both doing everything it takes to win – his peers would say the same. Consistency and constantly giving 110%.
In the past few years Wozniak has not slowed in his collection of achievements, continuing to up his game and take on larger challenges. Moving into the more strategy-led world of endurances he has taken victories in the British 24 Hour at Teesside and the famous Daytona 24 Hour in a cameo appearance with the notable CI Group team. All these efforts underlined by SIM Racing. In the world of F1 Esports, he signed professionally with the TES Esports Team, while receiving significant exposure in 2023 on his Twitch channel in which he streamed SIM racing content daily. He obtained both the Monza and Jeddah world records in F1 2023 while achieving countless pole positions and victories throughout his pro SIM racing career. All of which was showcased on his TikTok page, highlighting his race craft to a growing audience of motorsport fans.
With the rise in accessibility of SIM rigs for both training purposes as well as the burgeoning sport in its own right, we took the opportunity to ask the expert – what are the benefits of purchasing your own rig? Kuba notes candidly that he’s happy to take a year break and can still get on track to perform at 100%, but he gets his reaction time and racing muscles on the sim.
"If you can’t be on track, then the sim is the best option as it’s almost the same. You don’t get the G-force of the kart, but the footwork is the same, the steering even more difficult in the sim at times."
He highlights that he made the initial investment into the equipment a couple years ago – now driving a Fanatec system with an F1-style play seat.
Despite a huge career of achievement thus far, Wozniak is yet to be awarded the ‘Driver of the Month’ at Daytona. With comments under our social post announcing his new title stating “finally” beginning to come in, it’s clear this one was long overdue. Perhaps one of our most deserving drivers and a genuine budding talent in the motorsport world.
However, the event which drove this award to be granted in particular was the final of the DMAX National Championship in Milton Keynes on the 21st of September.
Racing in both the Endurance and Heats formats, Wozniak’s name became punctuation to the commentary team, each callout containing some reference to his racing performance which captured the attention of all present that day.
Heading into the finals of the DMAX National Championships, Wozniak led the Endurance standings by a single point, meaning he had to perform on the day. Everything ran smoothly in the long race, where he managed his pace, strategy and consistency to perfection, crossing the line as champion. In the Heats, he impressed even himself, starting from a variety of grid positions and winning every single race. The final itself was a composed, confident display – smooth sailing from start to finish, capping off an exceptional season.
When it comes to his social media presence, Kuba admits he doesn’t take it 100% seriously, but recognises its importance. It’s a platform to show people what you’re capable of and allows those who can’t make it to the track to follow your progress. It also plays a big part in gaining exposure for sponsors, something every aspiring driver has to balance in the challenging climb to a career in motorsport.
Now in 2025, after surmounting almost every title in the Daytona roster and reaching the heights of Esports, Kuba looks to transition towards the next step - Cars.
He writes:
“Transitioning into car racing feels like the natural next step in my journey, as it allows me to channel my experience and dedication into reaching new heights. I’m confident that with my focus, I can excel in this next chapter and make a significant impact in the world of motorsport. On November 16, 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in a testing session at Silverstone in the C1 Silverlakes series, a key step towards achieving my goal of competing in a full season in 2025. The testing session was highly successful, with smooth performance throughout the day, achieving one of the fastest lap times recorded during the event. This experience further solidified my belief that transitioning into car racing is the right direction for my career. It demonstrated my ability to adapt to new machinery and deliver competitive results under real-world conditions.”
Following the successful Silverstone outing, Kuba already has several additional test days booked for the end of the year as preparation for a 2026 campaign in the Porsche Boxster Car Series – his next major challenge. When asked what advice he’d give to younger drivers hoping to follow in his footsteps, he keeps it simple: track time is everything. But if that’s not possible due to cost, make the one-off investment into a sim and dedicate yourself to online racing, putting it into practice on track when you can. As for mentality: “you have to tell yourself that you’re the best.”
Before we finished, Kuba made sure to give a shoutout to KBR for their continued support, to CI Group for the amazing 24 hour experience - "Gareth and the rest of the team", and to Brad Philpot for a lovely YouTube video cameo.
More than anything, we’d like to thank Kuba for his relentless commitment to karting thus far. Although we will likely be seeing less of him as he steps into car racing, he has been an integral part of our community, something we pride ourselves on, since he was six years old. Our staff have seen him grow from strength to strength, amassing countless titles and growing in confidence at each stop. More than a great driver, he’s a good man – and one we’ve been glad to support in what we’re sure is just the start of a storied career.
