About the experience

Available to drivers aged 8-15 years old during the school holidays, Race School is a complete one-day go-karting course which combines fun with expert racing tuition. Race School is the ultimate experience for beginner and improving junior drivers.

The complete one-day course includes all safety equipment and a comprehensive itinerary packed full of racing instruction. Lessons include an introduction to go-karting, racing lines, overtaking and race craft. The day long experience also includes freshly prepared hot lunch from our professional kitchen. We can cater for any dietary requirements (please advise our staff when booking). The day finishes with a final assessment and podium presentation. A Daytona Race School manual is used and completed throughout the day so attendees retain as much information as possible!

All the staff that oversee our Race School tuition days are experienced and have comprehensive go-karting and tutoring knowledge.

After successful completion of the programme, your child may be invited to join our exclusive InKart Championship and race in our junior championships against other karting enthusiasts.

“A fantastic day at Daytona with my 9 year old stepson as he completed the race school. A fun and very well organised day for all the kids involved, containing an informative theory session to teach driving techniques and safety, alongside plenty of track time on the national layout on the main venue circuit.

There wasn’t a long wait before the drivers were able to out on track to familiarise themselves with the karts and track, and to be assessed on their initial levels. It began with a group track walk to detail the layout, and as the day progressed, more and more track time occurred focussing on different skills The instructors went out on track as well to do ‘lead and follow’ teaching to the kids for learning racing lines and braking points. With the theory session (and lunch) completed alongside the track sessions, the day finished with practice race grid starts, a qualifying and finally group races for the drivers to enjoy and put their newly learnt skills into practice.

My stepson got so much out of the day. When we arrived he was so nervous and was contemplating not participating. The staff were brilliant and once he sat in the kart, he never looked back. By the end of the day he was a completely different boy, full of confidence and having such a good time, managing to shave seconds off of his early morning familiarity laps.

I really recommend the Race School, great for kids to learn and have a fun day in itself, with lots of time in the karts and friendly staff. Superb.”
